SHIAWASSEE TWP. RESIDENTS ANNOUNCEMENT
The Board of Shiawassee Township will hold its regular scheduled meeting for April 15th at 7pm
The only agenda item will be to discuss a Resolution For Emergency Measures. The Governor issued Executive Orders and Directives pursuant to Emergency Management Act, Public Act 390 of 1976 which impact Township Operations.
This will be acted upon after the regular reports are given.
The results of this Resolution will be on display in the bulletin board at the Shiawassee Township office.
Residents are welcome to attend but we will have to limit the number to 10 as outlined in the State of Emergency social distancing guidelines, (with 5 board members that means only 5 audience participants will be allowed in the building) if more than 5 want to attend provisions can be made, but also keep in mind the Resolution and Board minutes will be on display at the office. Business at this meeting will be kept to only priority items that demand board attention. Social distance guidelines will be strictly enforced in the building at all times.
Due to the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order, most burn permits are suspended across the state. Burning yard debris is the top cause of wildfires in Michigan. Suspending burn permits reduces the potential for wildfires, which will limit the risk of exposing first responders to coronavirus and make sure trained personnel and equipment are available to assist with COVID-19 response as needed.
